Media File Rules |
I will allow multimedia files to be hosted as long as you abide by the following rules.
1. Maximum file size is 20 MB. Files over 20 MB will be removed without notice.
2. Files over 3 MB must be zipped (this forces the visitor to download to their computer, rather than placing any strain on the server)
3. You should have media file hotlinking enabled. You can do this directly from your e-Fans control panel.
4. Absolutely NO album tracks from a musician may be hosted. Encourage your visitors to support the artist, not steal from them. I will terminate your site on the spot if I find them - that’s how serious I am!
5. The following file types may NOT be hosted: exe, torrent, vbs, scr, avi.
Radio Blogs
Radio Blogs are not allowed on the servers. They include sound files which are streamed off the server, which not only uses a LOT of bandwidth but place extra strain on it. This in turn makes other hostees sites run slower and is not fair to others sharing the server. Please consider other members and do not stream any files off our servers.
This list is not all inclusive and I reserve the right to ask you to remove any file which is believed to be illegal, causing harm to other Internet users, or that complaints are received on.
